Handcrafted Wire Woven Copper Earrings with Vintage Glass Buttons
These lovely earrings are designed with intricate and interesting copper wire weaving showcasing pretty little vintage glass buttons.
The wire wrapping design has been given a rich patina and I also applied a thin protective finish to the copper.
The buttons are an elongated barrel shape faceted glass in a delicious dark chocolate color. In my best guestimation the buttons enhanced a fine garment during the fashion eras of anywhere from the 1950’s to 1980’s. They are delightful!
The wire wrapping, as well as the buttons are all securely attached to copper frames on the back.
The French hook ear wires are handmade with 20 gauge gold filled wire. They have been hardened in a tumbler and the little loops and gold rings are soldered closed.
The dimensions are:
Hanging length is 1 5/8”
Width is 1 1/16”
The weight is 3/4 oz.
