Handcrafted Vintage Button Earrings designed with Gold/Brass toned Metal Buttons, Wire Woven Fresh Water Pearls, and Genuine Amber Beads
When vintage metal buttons are flattened, the designs upon them morph into a time- worn effect, and they are beautifully transformed. Here, two gold/brass toned buttons are then riveted together with copper and shaped for style into wonderful earrings !
The buttons are embellished with unique and lovely fresh water pearls that are dyed a translucent pale gold color. They maintain a soft and gentle luminosity, and their shape is one of a rounded seed...quite unusual and interesting. I did a little intricate wire weaving around them .
On either side of the pearls are genuine amber disk beads attached to gold filled rings.
The handmade ear wires are gold filled and have been hardened in a tumbler for strength. The loops are soldered closed.
The earrings are 1 1/2 inches in length and measure 7/8 inch in width at the widest point.
These unique earrings celebrate various shadings of both warm and cool golden colors in texture and material. They have a sweet antique vibe, and are both light and comfortable to wear.
