Handcrafted Pendant Necklace with Copper Wire Weaving around a Vintage Glass Button
“The Plot..With It’s Many Twists and Turns”
Intricate copper wire weaving has created quite the journey around a very lovely faceted glass button. The oblong shaped button shines with checkerboard facets and has a deep espresso brown color. This button had a glass self shank and I was able to gently and smoothly grind it down for the pendant. In the photo of the back of the pendant, there is a brass frame and some gentle wiring securely holding the button. This button , in my best guesstimated opinion, adorned an exquisite well tailored jacket or blazer anywhere from the 50’s to the 90’s.
The chain is handmade by me using copper wire also. The pendant wire weaving and the chain have been given a rich patina. There is a handmade hook and eye clasp.
The pendant measures one and one half inches in length.
The pendant width is a scant one inch at the widest point.
The chain measures nineteen and three quarter inches and it is not adjustable.
