When vintage metal buttons are flattened, the impressions upon them morph into an olde world effect and they are beautifully transformed.
Here, two buttons are layered and riveted together with copper in each of the six stations. A little carving is done on the sides of the base buttons for fitting and interest purposes. Alternating colors of gold and silver , along with the copper riveting ,allow the bracelet to be worn with many choices of accompanying jewelry if desired.
Handmade brass connecting rings strongly attach each station to the next. A handmade toggle clasp of heavy brass wire adds more beauty to the design. This clasp has a curved bar that is both secure and easy to use. To do this, hold the bar straight up through the round clasp and pull through. it will then turn itself to lay beautifully.
Each of the six stations measures 7/8 inch diameter.
The length of the bracelet is 7 3/8”.
Because a hammer and jewelry anvil is involved , I named this bracelet “ Smashing Reviews” ! It is truly a comfortable, enjoyable, and interesting conversation piece of jewelry to own.
