With loads of interesting textural design, these earrings are crafted with braided and coiled copper wire that has been hammered flat and then sewn together in a horseshoe curve. The copper has been given a lovely aged patina.
Mother of Pearl buttons that have been dyed a beautiful and gentle seagreen color dangle inside the copper frames. The buttons have been captured with wire in such a way as to allow them to swing and fro. The Mother of Pearl buttons have a lovely and soft luminous inner light.
The handmade ear wires are made with gold filled wire that has been hardened in a tumbler for strength. The loops holding the earrings have been soldered closed.
The width at the widest point is a scant 1 1/2”.
The total hanging length from the ear wires is 1 3/4”.
